New perspectives on how history is made
Dan Klein emailed me to say that Jacob Viner of the University of Chicago is also missing from the list of signatories.

Although I found the names of Melvin Moses Knight (1887-1981) of the University of California and Bruce Winton Knight (b.1892) of Dartmouth College, I couldn't find their more famous brother, Frank Hyneman Knight (1885-1972) of the University of Chicago. I did a find for "Knight" and nothing turned up except his two brothers so I doubt he's lurking on the list with a different affiliation. Perhaps someone can throw some light on his absence from this list. Was he a protectionist, at least at that time? Or maybe he was sick and never signed the petition.
