Matthew Parris asks "Did John Paul II perform a miracle? Am I Mother Teresa?". I've long been an admirer of Parris who writes for The Times (of London). This column is published just in time for Holy Week.

Frankly, I don't see why this argument is considered top form, and if it is, then it is not an especially strong endorsement of Parris' previous writings? His argument is this: I am sure that God did not heal a nun of Parkinson's because JP2 interceded. Not only am I sure, but I am very-very-very-very sure.

Impeccable logic, no? In fact, all his article proves is that atheism involves faith at least as much as does theism, and that Faith and Reason are more intertwined than Parris admits here.
